  • For students NOT attending school in the summer, but returning in the fall, with a minimum 60% course load (40% for students with a permanent disability) in their current level  
  • Student must meet the Canadian Citizenship criteria  
  • Student must demonstrate financial need (this means, your allowable expenses are more than your resources, OSAP funding, and student loan)  
  • Student must be in good academic standing  

Ontario First Generation Student Bursary (APPRENTICESHIP Programs Only)

  • Available for First Generation students who are registered in a full time apprenticeship program. Pre-apprentice and part time apprentice programs are not eligible. First Generation students are those whose parent(s) did not attend/complete a post secondary program  
  • Student must demonstrate financial need  
  • Student must meet Ontario Residency criteria  
  • Student must meet Canadian Citizenship criteria  
  • Applications will be made available, upon request, to eligible students by contacting the Student Awards Office  
  • Student must submit a Notice of Collection of Personal Information statement in addition to their online application. Please note, at time of application, an e-mail will be sent to the student's Fanshawe Online account with the Notice of Collection of Personal Information attachment

  • Available to full-time students who have successfully completed Level 1 of Electronics Engineering Technician-Industrial Controls, Renewable Energies Technician, or the Mechanical Engineering Technician-Industrial Maintenance programs at the St. Thomas/Elgin Campus, and achieved a minimum 3.0 GPA  
  • Student must demonstrate financial need.  
  • Student must be full time.  
  • Student must meet Canadian residency requirements.
