Accepting for Winter 2026 Applicants
Available for students registered with Fanshawe College's Institute of Indigenous Learning who are currently enrolled in a full-time, part-time, or apprenticeship program
Student must demonstrate financial need
Student must meet Ontario Residency criteria
Student must meet Canadian Citizenship criteria
Applications to be made by referral only through the Academic Advisor in the Institute of Indigenous Learning, room A1047. Please make an appointment in person or at FirstNations@fanshawec.ca.
Available for Winter 2026 Applicants
Available to First Generation students currently enrolled in any semester of their first post-secondary diploma, degree, or certificate program. First Generation students are those whose parent(s) did not attend/complete a post-secondary program

You are not eligible if: Student(s) enrolled in second-entry (a second program), graduate and professional programs, as well as students receiving assistance through the Better Jobs Ontario program (formerly Second Career Ontario program)
Students must submit a signed Notice of Collection of Personal Information statement in addition to their online application. Please note the Notice of Collection of Personal Information is available to download on the first page before applying to the bursary.
Accepting applicants that are starting their program in Winter 2026
Applicants must be enrolled or attending full-time, post-secondary or post-diploma studies at Fanshawe College for the first-time.
If you are starting class in the fall term (September) apply in the spring.
If you are starting class in the winter term (January) apply in the fall.
If you are starting class in the summer term (May) apply in the winter.
