MNO Metis Student Bursary Program
The Metis Nation of Ontario (MNO) Metis Student Bursary Program provides bursaries to registered students who are verified Metis citizens of the Metis Nation of Ontario.
Applicants will be required to consent to a citizenship verification check to confirm eligibility for these awards.

The Fanshawe Assistance Bursary (FAB) is a general bursary.
Student must be full-time post-secondary.
Student must demonstrate financial need.
Student must meet the Canadian Citizenship criteria.
Eligible FAB applicants who meet financial need, will automatically be considered for up to 130 other bursaries.
Available for students who have served as a Cadet in the Canadian Cadet Program and are no longer a Cadet with any Cadet unit
Student must demonstrate financial need
Available for full time students enrolling in a two or three year program
Student must have successfully completed the third year of the Canadian Cadet Program
Student must meet Canadian residency requirements.
Applications will be made available, upon request, to eligible students who have provided their cadet history by contacting the Student Awards Office
Available to Part-time and Full-time students at Fanshawe College in a Certificate, Diploma or Degree Program.
Student must demonstrate Financial need
Student must meet Canadian Citizenship criteria and Ontario Residency
Is a past or current client with Humana Community Services (Formally Anago (Non) Residential Resources Inc. and/or WAYS Mental Health Support/ Western Area Youth Services)
Available for students who are currently enrolled in the Food and Beverage Management, Hospitality – Hotel and Resort Services Management or the Culinary Management program with a minimum 2.0 GPA, who have completed at least one semester of study
Student must be registered in a full time program
Student must meet Ontario Residency criteria
Student must meet Canadian Citizenship criteria
Students must have successfully completed their Smart Serve training and required to submit a photocopy of their Smart Serve card to Student Awards at time of application submission
Available for students registered with Fanshawe College's Institute of Indigenous Learning who are currently enrolled in a full-time, part-time, or apprenticeship program
Applications to be made by referral only through the Academic Advisor in the Institute of Indigenous Learning, room A1047. Please make an appointment in person or at FirstNations@fanshawec.ca.
For students attending school full-time post-secondary with a minimum 60% course load (40% course load for students with a verified permanent disability) in their current level.
Student must be in good academic standing.
Approved students are eligible to apply for part-time work on-campus.
