IMPORTANT: Students do not receive funding directly from this bursary. If approved, students can search and apply for available full-time work-study jobs on the Career Portal (access via FOL).

To apply you must be:

  1. Currently enrolled in full-time studies this term (Winter 2026)
  2. Not attending full-time studies this summer (May to August 2026)
  3. Returning to full-time studies next academic year (September 2026)

Additional eligibility criteria:

  • Student must meet Canadian citizenship criteria. 
  • Student must demonstrate financial need.

Accepting applicants that are starting their program in Fall 2026

Available to students who are enrolling full-time in level 1 of the Developmental Services Worker program at the London campus. 

Applicants must:

  • have applied to DSW1, London Campus, starting in Fall 2026
  • demonstrate financial need
  • self-identify as a woman and/or gender diverse person.
  • be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or protected person/refugee
  • submit a signed Additional Questions and Authorization Letter in addition to their online application. Please note you will download this letter on the first page before applying to the bursary.

Renewal Criteria: To keep their bursary, recipients must maintain a 2.0 GPA each term.

Accepting applicants that are starting their program in Fall 2026 

Applicants must be enrolled or attending full-time, post-secondary or post-diploma studies at Fanshawe College for the first-time.

If you are starting class in the fall term (September) apply in the spring.

If you are starting class in the winter term (January) apply in the fall.

If you are starting class in the summer term (May) apply in the winter.


Applicants must also:

  • demonstrate financial need.
  • meet Canadian citizenship requirements.
  • meet Ontario residency requirements.

Accepting applicants that are starting their program in Fall 2026 

Available for students entering the first term of Fanshawe College's Early Childhood Education (ECE) diploma program, with a City of London, Middlesex County, or Oxford County home address.

Students must:

  • demonstrate financial need.
  • be enrolling full time in the ECE program starting in May 2026.
  • must meet Canadian Citizenship criteria (Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident or Protected Person).

Bursary funding varies depending on funding availability and the student's home address.

Accepting applicants that are starting their program in Fall 2026

Available to students enrolling full-time in the first term of an eligible Schulich Builder program. Please refer to the list of eligible programs on our website: Schulich Builders Scholarships

Applicants must:

  • have applied to an eligible Schulich Builder program starting in Fall 2026
  • be a Canadian citizen.
  • demonstrate financial need.
  • upload one letter of reference to this application that confirms a strong work ethic and character from someone directly connected to the student (preferably, a high school staff member, employer, co-worker or community service organization).
  • be willing to act as an ambassador and promote the skilled trades and the Schulich Builders Scholarships in high schools and the wider community.

Renewal Criteria: To keep their scholarship, recipients must pass each semester and not drop-out of their program or full-time studies.

Accepting applicants that are starting their program in Fall 2026

Available to students enrolling full-time in the first term of any program at Fanshawe College that have overcome significant hardship and recently graduated from high school.

Applicants must:

  • have applied to a full-time Fanshawe program starting in Fall 2026
  • be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or protected person/refugee.
  • meet Ontario residency requirements.
  • have graduated from an Ontario high school within the last three years
  • demonstrate financial need
  • Upload a letter of reference from an individual who is aware of your personal circumstances and can speak to your resilience in the face of adversity and potential for success in their post-secondary studies.

Renewal criteria: To keep the bursary, recipients must commit to working with a mentor each year throughout their program. A brief report from the recipient on their mentorship involvement will be required each year before they are qualified for renewal of this award.
